It was a bit of challenge to work with a neutral colour scheme as I normally love bold colours. I picked a few papers which were mainly cream but also had a little bit of yellow to add some interest.
The photos below were taken with a phone camera as my proper camera is broken so I apologise for the poor photo quality!
The top of the box was decorated mainly with paper flowers (cream, yellow mocha colours) and some skeleton flowers and beaded flowers (not sure what you would call them). I added some glitter and glimmermist to add a little shimmer and shine.
I also did a little stamping in yellow in the corners to fill some blank spaces with a motif and added cream flat-back pearls around the tissue box opening.
The design on the paper was given dimension by adding a layer of glossy accents which dries clear but gives a raised edge, this is not really visible in the photos.
The butterflies and bird are made from wood veneer. I inked the edges and added some pearls to the butterflies for added dimension.
Finally,I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! I think this will probably be my last post for this year. I would like to thank god, my family, my friends and my customers for their continued support this year. Its been a great crafting year for me and I have had a lot of fun creating things for my customers. I am glad I took the plunge to establish my website and Facebook Page and I am very grateful to everyone who has given me some business! I hope to create even more and better creations next year!
Happy crafting for 2014!
