Hi there, here a few recent Hello Kitty themed birthday cards I have made. The first card style is a side-step card and the second is a normal card style.
For this card I cut the Hello Kitty out on my Silhouette Cameo and pieced all the bits together. A bit time consuming but worth the effort!
The second Hello Kitty card is a quick one, made with the Papertrey Ink Hexagon Die and various Hello Kitty papers and some glitter paper!
Thanks for looking and happy crafting!
Hello, I have been quiet for a while but that does not mean I was not crafting! I have been busy completing some cards. Two are thank you cards and one is a birthday card.
The first Thank You card is a cat themed Easel Style card. Card
size is A5. I used my Cameo to cut out some of the shapes as well as my EK Success border punch. Also a selection of Petaloo flowers were used for embellishing as well as Stickles.
The second card is also a Thank You card. For this I used the Sizzix Bigz Accordion Flip die by Karen Burniston. I decorated the card with various die-cuts I had from card kits. The little envelope was made on my Cameo, this is where you write your message.
As the card had depth I created a box for it with a band that keeps it shut. I used washi tape to decorate the box as well as some Prima flowers and a pearl.
My final card was also made using the Sizzix Bigz Accordion Flip die by Karen Burniston but this time it was a birthday card.
I hope you like my cards. Thanks for looking! Afshan
My second son will be turning 2 years old next month so I wanted to create a card to send to CBEEBIES for them to show as he loves to watch the birthday cards they show everyday. I also did this for my eldest son so thought it was only fair to do for the youngest as well.
One of my son's favourite show is called 'Show Me Show Me' which is centred on a place on the 10th floor and so the inspiration for the card was the lift you see at the beginning of the show, I wanted to create a interactive card where you slide the lift doors to reveal my sons picture.
I used my new Silhouette Cameo machine to cut the letters for his name, the number 2, happy birthday wording, the balloons and buntings die-cuts. I managed to cut glitter paper without any issues. The 0 to 10 numbers were cut from giltered paper using Tim Holtz Block Sizzix die. The stars were punched out using a small star punch I picked up at the shop Tiger.
Below is what I came up with. The doors to actually slide, I based this on a slider card.
